Orphanage Receives Refrigerator, Generator
The Saint Joseph Orphanage in Ayangba, Nigeria, was in need of a generator and refrigerator, and thanks to Fr. Julius Abuh, both items were donated and immediately put to use. The orphanage’s old yellow generator (top left) was unusable and replaced with a new red one (top right). Fr. Augustine, the orphanage’s financial administrator, and the children from the orphanage pose with the new generator (bottom left). Fr. Blessing of the Pets
Fr. Julius Abuh, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Norris blesses pets on the memorial of St. Francis of Assisi. He emphasized the need for Christians to be nice to pets, because they are our best friends. He prayed for all the pets to be well and happy. He gave them some treats after the blessing.

Funeral Mass for Carl Werner von Buelow

Fr. Julius and the Sister Servants of the Eternal Word Alabama is that of Carl Werner von Buelow. He was a parishioner at the Sacred Heart Church in Knoxville, St. Mary’s in Oakridge and finally at St. Therese in Clinton following the death of his wife Alice von Buelow. They had four children, two boys and two ladies. One of the ladies is Sr. Mary Jacinta Von Buelow Who is a Sister Servant of the Eternal Word, Alabama. Some of the sisters were at St. Therese in Clinton, Tn (Dec. 2 2017) for the requiem Mass that was in Latin at the request of the family. About 16 Nuns of the Sister Servants came from Alabama to our diocese. Fr. Julius officiated the Christian Funeral Mass.

Carl’s obituary:
Carl W. von Buelow, age 92 of Clinton passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2017.

He was born in Alhambra, CA on March 2, 1925 to the late Ernst and Anna Marie Stybr von Buelow. He was married in 1954 to Alice Cecile Rankin . Carl was a member of the St. Therese Catholic Church, St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where he was very active in Sierra Club and as a Lector and Extraordinary minster and Perpetual Adoration coordinator.  He graduated from the University of Southern California and was a member of Delta Sigma Phi. Carl was also active in the Great Smoky Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America.  He was the President and Founder of Bulow Industries. In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by, wife, Alice Rankin von Buelow; brothers, Ernst and John von Buelow; sister, Henriette Stemple.
